Boating with the Bradfords

Our good friends the Bradfords invited us to go boating today - and it is Jeremy's Birthday - so we had a great day! Maddy and Jackson got a ride on the intertube, I got up on the wakeboard after about 5 tries - first time wakeboarding, we made it through Ryan's "widower" tubing ride - WoW, and Jeremy had a great time on the wakeboard as well. Sorry, I didn't add a picture of Dawson - he was there with us and he did swim in the water, he was just a little scared of the tubing.

"It's a Girl Cupcakes"

I was given the opportunity to make my little girl bootie cupcakes for a baby shower - I made some boy ones for my friend Liz - it was really fun to make pink ones!

Fireman Jake's Birthday Party

Our good friend Jake turned three years old, and he had the hottest party ever! We got to play games at the park, eat pizza and cake, and then we got to go over to the fire station and take a tour! The kids loved it!
His cake was a fire truck - I helped Emily with the cake! (she did a great job!)
There might be a future!

He already has a career!

Girls Camp

I had the awesome opportunity to attend the last night of girls camp. The young women in our ward are so great and beautiful - I am very proud of them - roughing it through the week and the leaders there said that there was very little if any drama (which is a pretty big thing when there are 24 teenage girls involved!) I got to see the Stake Skit and the awards and recognitions. Then after all that everyone split into wards and had their own testimony meetings. When I was growing up and attended camp I loved hearing other girls talk about why they love the church and are so grateful for the gospel in their lives. It really took me back and reminded me of all that I had learned to get to where I am today. Looking at some of the girls and thinking "they too will be a mother some day" was such a great and comforting feeling knowing that they will succeed in taking care of Heavenly Fathers most precious gifts.

This was the Stake skit - they played with fire.

Happy Father's Day!

Wow, Heather is letting me do a post on her blog for Father's day (this is Jeremy)! It was a great father's day! The kids made me a sweet tie - I had more compliments on the tie than I have ever had on any other tie before - I guess I should wear it all the time. I got breakfast in bed this morning (waffles and a blueberry smoothie). I also got a football shaped digital picture display for my desk at work, and a new outfit. Heather even made some blue and seahawk green cupcake pops (see below) - delicious! At church, Madison went up and sang with the primary (Dawson usually goes up with her, but he didn't feel up to it today) - she sang really good! They gave all us dads rootbeer floats at church, so that was excellent. When we were taking pictures in the chair (above), Jessi decided that she wanted to be in the picture too, so...
she jumped up on my lap. Anyway, it was a great Father's day - we had lots of fun!

Birthday/Pool Party

Madison's friend, Blythe, had a birthday party and the kids had a great time swimming and eating hot dogs. Even I got to take a dip in the hot tub, fully dressed, Jackson stepped off a step in the hot tub and Jeremy wasn't in there with the kids yet, so mom to the rescue! It was pretty scary for me, he was fine, he still wanted to continue swimming.

We had yummy chocolate cupcakes!

Elk Grove BBQ

Last Saturday, June 7th, we went down to Elk Grove and had a little party with some good friends, The Shimodas. They are a great couple and family. When we moved from there they had one little boy and now they have almost doubled with two cute little girls. Our friends and old next door neighbors the Triplets were also there. It was a lot of fun catching up on all the fun details of every one's busy lives, and the kids had a great time playing together.

9 Years!

Today is our Anniversary! We have been married for 9 short years and it feels like we have always been together. We celebrated yesterday by going to the movies, "Indiana Jones", it was pretty good. Today the kids and I stopped by Jeremy's office and gave him a lovely bouquet of cupcake pops, yum. I meant to take a picture of it, but I forgot. There was 2 dozen in a rectangle glass vase - the colors were yellow and purple (our wedding colors). Madison was a big helper with decorating. Jeremy was surprised and he said that they were a big hit in his office - I made him share! Here is to many more great years!

Last Day of 1st Grade

Today was Madison's last day of school. She loves school, but she has told me that she is ready for a break. It was a successful year full of accomplishments in math and in her language studies, but her reading is out of this world. She has been reading in the 2nd grade level for a while now - if there are words in front of her she will read (even magazines at the check out lines in stores - sometimes not the best thing to here from your daughters mouth, I just hope she doesn't understand it). She had her class party last Tuesday and I made little cupcake pops for the kids - they are the cupcake class. I saw them on Martha Stuart during her cupcake week, the gal that made them has a blog - www.bakerella.blogspot.com - make sure you have something to wipe your mouth when you look at her site, it will water! They were fun to make and sooooo good, Jeremy absolutely raved about them.

What a big boy!

Father Son Camp Out

Jeremy and Dawson went to the father son camp out last Friday. He felt very special that it was just him and dad - he reminded me all day that "Maddy wasn't going, Jackson is not going, and Mommy is not going, not even Jessi (the dog) is going!" He had a great time out on the boat and swimming in the lake and eating just the chocolate when they made smores. Jeremy was excited to go wake-boarding for the second time ever - he was glad that he was able to get up out of the water this time!
Dawson and his best bud Eli fishing - they didn't catch anything.

Dawson and his wing boys Eli and Carter - what a trio!
