Patty Day!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

So Proud!

This is the cover of this last Sunday's program. Madison is our little artist - I have had at least three parents from her class at school and the teacher say to me how very creative she is - I can't wait to get my hands on this painting she did of flamingos, it is beautiful!
This park is just a walk away from our house and we love it this time of year with the "Popcorn" trees - as Jackson calls them. This is our snow in California!

My Birthday!

One year older and man am I feeling it! I had a great birthday! I got to spend time with some friends, and one of my friends offered to watch my kids so I could do a little shopping (with Jeremy working all the time right now - I haven't shopped by myself in 2 and half months.). But he did get home before the sun went down and we had a pizza party and an ice cream cake, yum! I got a "Cupcake Queen" t-shirt, the dvd "Much Ado About Nothing" (my favorite movie - only had it on VHS), and a body pillow - I will explain that one in another post. Oh, and of course this Saturday I will be at Wal-Mart at midnight buying my "Twilight"!

I also am sooooo lucky - this cake is sooooo good and you will never guess who made it for me. . . . . .my dentist. I am very good friends with his wife and she made him make this cake for me. He used to work in a bakery and he learned a lot tricks - he really needs to have a class and teach me this one - I am sure that I have gained about five pounds just eating a small slice! Thank you Wilsons!

Retirement Cake

One of Jeremy's co-workers is retiring this June. He is a Partner in the L.A. office, but was up here in Sacramento working on Sutter Health, so anyway everyone thought it would be nice to give him a great farewell and good luck fishing! Jeremy really enjoyed working with him and talking about all the stuff that Jeremy some day will have like him - 12 houses, 3 boats, etc. . . .

Class Basket

I forgot to post this - Last week I also created this class basket for Maddy's School Auction Fundraiser. The class donated items and money to create a theme basket - I chose the theme "Baby". I donated the cute hoodie towel that I made (I found the cutest fuzzy applique(sp) that I have ever seen). It is fun to spend other peoples money and create something fun!

New Beginnings and The Ward Variety Show

This week we had our Young Women's New Beginnings. It went very well and of course I learned a lot from the girls in their perspective - the Mia Maids made introductions to each value: Faith, Divine Nature, Individual Worth, Knowledge, Choice and Accountability, Good Works, Integrity, and the newest value Virtue. I love being a leader in Young Womens - the girls keep me young!

Speaking of young - our ward put on a Variety Show and my older clogging class wanted to perform the number we have been working on and they wanted me to perform with them. So here I am trying to act young and dance with my 10 to 12 year olds! It was a lot of fun and as Jeremy put it "we won the show!" My Beehives did a fashion show - I really wish I would of remembered my camera to get pictures of them. Anyway, two of them were announcers-
"here is Beth in Capri Pants (she ducted tape Capri Sun drinks to her pants)
next we have Malory in a Mini Skirt (dressed up like Minnie Mouse)
here is Lexi in Bell Bottom pants (jingle bells on her bottom)
next is Amber with a Plunging neck line shirt (plunger necklace)
and finally Rebecca wearing a tube top (inter tube)." They were a hit!
The kids enjoyed the show. We barely saw Dawson, he took off with one of his buddies Joey, Madison too was busy dancing around and laughing at all the funny skits, and Jackson thought it was pretty great that he had his own bag of popcorn!

Butterfly Cupcakes

I made these butterfly cupcakes for the Relief Society's Birthday Party - they were a hit!
