"Cheese, baby"
Today is a day that I wish I had a camera in my hands. I got to watch my friends little 6 week old baby, and Jackson usually does not like to see me hold anything but him so I wasn't sure what to expect from him. He of course didn't like it, but I sat down on the couch and he came over and repeated "baby, baby, baby" and little Parker checked him out and Jackson was cool with it! At one point I put the baby in his car seat so I could help Dawson and Carter (the baby's big brother) with something and Jackson went over to the baby with a play camera and started to pretend to take pictures of him. In his little voice you could hear him say "cheese, baby". It put a smile on my face, and reassured me that I can face the rest of day with no problems!

Service
Saturday morning there was a service project at Breen Elementary, Madison's School. Jeremy signed up to go and he was going to take Madison and of course Dawson just had to go too. I wasn't there so I am taking this from what Jeremy told me. They were doing yard work on the school grounds. There was piles of bark to be spread amongst the trees in the school yard. Jeremy said that Madison was a great worker, she raked the bark and at one point was on top of the pile of bark pushing it down onto the shovels so it could be easier to shovel (hope that made sense), Jeremy said that was not an easy thing to do. She not once complained about doing the work she just did it. I hope that this attitude continues throughout her life, and I also hope that she got her attitude from her loving parents! When she got home she was very proud of herself and she had to tell me everything she did (and of course, what Dawson did as well).

Zoo Field Trip Take 2
Can you tell which one is the monkey?
We had a great day at the Zoo. Dawson's favorite part was seeing the tigers. There were four of them, a mom and her three boys. The boys were playing in the water and the mother was lounging in the sun all relaxed and watching her boys, at one point the boys splashed her with water and she quickly got up and smacked one the boys in the face! It's nice to know that all moms have similarities (Ha Ha). Dawson walked around with his good friend Eli and Dad (Jeremy) even showed up and was able to have lunch with us! The preschool kids gather at the park and we had a picnic. Some people brought bread to feed the ducks, well I did not think to do that and Jackson very badly wanted to give something to the ducks. He was watching other kids throwing things at the ducks, so he bent down and picked something up and threw at the pile of ducks. I really didn't know what it was that he picked up until the duck that quickly snatched it spit it back out - I am glad to know that ducks do not eat their own poop! Jackson was quickly washed off and he shared his crackers with the ducks. It was really fun to see all the kids gathered around the ducks. Eli said on the car ride home "it was a fun day!"

Trip to San Fran!
We took a boat tour out to the Golden Gate bridge and back. The kids had fun running from the front of the boat to the back. We enjoyed the beautiful sights of the sail boats and the city sky line.
Grandpa, Dawson, and Uncle Laren
I got a little sea sick!

Corban's Visit
Madison, Dawson, Caden, Jackson, Alysa, Corban, and Evan.
While the men went golfing - Jeremy, Brad, Jack, and Dad - the women folk and kids had a play date at my sisiters house in Lodi. It was nice seeing my brother Jack and his wife Amanda and their cute little boy Corban, we wished they were a little closer so the kids could play a lot more together.
Big Boy Bed
Dawson's favorite color is green, and Jackson has always favored the color blue.
Jeremy is proud because blue and green are Seahawk colors!
Madison said it looks like a Hotel (?).

Jackson's 2nd Birthday!
Here we have slide races! (Dawson and his best friend Eli, and Madison and her really good friends Blythe and Scarlette.
I made M&M smores for a little treat!
Elmo Bath toy.
Monster Trucks!
He was very embarrassed to ride it in front of everyone.

Blow out the candles - good old Elmo!

Whats a party without Rock Band!

It was a great weekend. Jackson is showing signs of a two year old. He is becoming a little possessive of his toys and what he wants to be doing, not what mommy wants him to be doing, like, getting in his car seat so Madison is not late for school.

The family party was fun. My brother Jack, his wife Amanda and their son Corban came to visit from Utah, so it was fun having them here for the party. Madison did get sick during party, so I just pray that no one else gets it! The cake turned out good, the Elmo head is all chocolate, and he is holding a blue crayon, because he scribbled all over the cake. Jackson loves to say "Elmo" and I love to hear him say it, it is oh so cute (and one of his first words a while back).
